You can NOT copy this new YFAP30 folder to the Residentflash2 directory with the existing YFAP30 folder still there, because there is not enough storage memory in the unit to have both! To get around this I did the following:
“NEW” MENU INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Copy the NEW “YFAP30″ folder from this “YFAP30_pez.rar” file.
2) Rename the original existing “YFAP30″ folder (located in ResidentFlash2) to something else (like “OLDYFAP30″). This will stop it being used on your next reboot.
3) Delete all the files in “OLDYFAP30″ that you can. A few files will not allow you to delete them. Thats OK. Leave them there for now.
4) You will now have enough free memory to copy the NEW “YFAP30″ folder in to ResidentFlash2. Copy it across, and reset the unit.
5) The new skin will start. You can now go back into your file manager (or WinCE) and permanently delete the “OLDYFAP30″ folder and the files inside it that were unable to be removed in step 3.
Thats it!
As always, you should ALWAYS do full backups of your unit before doing stuff like this.
If your unit does not have the \ResidentFlash2\YFAP30 folder do not attempt to use any of the alternative menus listed here as there is a risk you will “brick” your device and none of the registry fixes listed in the wiki or this thread will work.
1) The “DTV” button has been changed to “FMTX”. This button now launches the “FM Transmitter” function (the DTV feature is not compatible with these GPS units, so I removed it).
2) The “YFLogo” now points to the “Backlight” settings, instead of the “System Information” page.
3) The “IE” (Internet Explorer) function in this version did not work. I suspect either “YFBrowser.exe” was corrupted or it was never working. I copied “MyIE1.exe” from the old skin and renamed it to YFBrowser.exe . The “IE” button function now works, but it is not displaying any menus or buttons. It only shows the address bar, keyboard and an exit button. It works well enough to surf the internet, but rather than use the “IE” button I would recommend connecting to your phone using the “GPRS” button, then running “Internet Explorer” from within WindowsCE. This method works great.
4) I have corrected various spelling mistakes in the skin.

The skin (unlock) is setup and ready to work on all of the 480×272 resolution DX GPS units (made by YFGPS).
To use this menu, copy the “GPS Menu” folder to the root of your SD card. Point the “Choose Navigation Exe” path in the standard skin to \SDMMC\Gps Menu\Menu.exe.
Click “Navigation” to run it!
This menu includes a few handy applications, tools, document readers and a few games too. It is currently setup to launch TomTom, Igo, Garmin and OziExplorerCE. (TomTom, Igo, Garmin and OziCE software is not included – you can edit the “.ini” files in the “Config” folder to change the icons to point to any program you wish.) You can easily customise this menu to suit your needs!
You can test this menu under Windows XP or Vista too. Simply run the SystemInformation32.exe from the “GPS Menu” folder! This makes testing your changes super easy!
NOTE: There is an included file called “Mortscript.exe”. Once you are running the menu you will need to run this file once to register some of the menu’s features. You can run this either by using “Windows Explorer” in WindowsCE, or one of the included file managers in the menu.
Tested and working great on PND “Wayteq X920BT” , Loadstar 480×272.

Source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1368340
Today, I present to you the ceFFM application, as a thank you to this forum that has always given me so much. It is a little personal project I have been working on when I am not doing anything else, it mainly was suggested by a friend of mine who is not convinced of ‘MioPocket’ or comparable other shells for Windows CE based Sat Nav units, this because of their missing finger-friendliness, as he said.
Abstract:
(i) What is ceFFM?
ceFFM is a free (as in “free speech” and also as in “free beer”) absolute finger-friendly shell/menu ( at least I think so ) for Windows CE 5.0 and/or 6.0 based Sat Nav devices. Hence I titled the project ceFFM. It is based on opensource-ware ‘CEMenu’. Its use is governed by GPL License.
Basically ceFFM acts as an “unlock” for Sat Nav devices (aka PNAs/AIOs) running Windows CE. Such devices almost always boot into the manufacturer’s software with no way to exit it, meaning that you cannot run any other software; i.e. the device is “locked.” Unlocking your device allows you to use it for far more than the manufacturer intended (ex. for music, movies, appointments, other navigation apps, etc.) and more like a PDA. ceFFM is legal to use, as it consists 100% of freely-distributable content. It is not a replacement for any OEM navigation software. It is just a frontend from which you may launch the navigation software that came with your device or that you purchase separately.
(ii) What types of programs does ceFFM come with?
ceFFM comes with just nearly three dozens of applications recognized by me as usefull. See list “Featured Programs” below. Note: ceFFM does not come with iGo, Garmin, TomTom, Destinator, Sysgic, NDrive, Mireo or any other commercial navigation software. Icons may be included for them, but not the programs, themselves (since they are not free).
(iii) What devices does ceFFM run on?
Technically, ceFFM should run on any Windows CE-based 5.0 and/or 6.0 device. It is not hard-coded to any particular brand or configuration. Every device is slightly different, though, and due to the great many brands and configurations that are out there, the ease of installation and the number of apps and features that actually work will vary. Note that TomTom and Garmin devices are Linux-based and, hence, ceFFM (which is Windows CE-based) cannot run on them.
(iiii) Does ceFFM install to SD/MMC or to flash disk (SD-free)?
Both. You have the option of either. But recommended of course is flash disk installation (a certain gain in speed one may notice).
(iiiii) Can ceFFM brick my device?
NO. It really does not hurt anything, it is abolutely safe. This due to the fact ceFFM simply overlays device’s default shell/menu which you re-gain access to if you exit ceFFM. Note that ceFFM uses Microsoft’s file-viewers and third-party’s flash-player if these are inbuilt. The changes to CE’s registry made by ceFFM affects registry keys as following
[HKCU\SOFTWARE\ceFFM]
CE-Extended
CE-SystemPathExtended
FileViewers-Installed
InstallDir
Orientation
Paths-Fixed
Players-Installed
RAMSweeper-Configured
Skin-Fixed
[HKLM\init]
Launch9999
Depend9999
[HKLM\Loader]
SystemPath
Licence Agreement:
ceFFM is free software which everyone can use free of charge, redistribute and change under the terms of the General Public License version 2.0 (GPL v2.0).
System Requirements:
1) A working Windows CE (.NET) 5.0 and/or Windows CE (.NET) 6.0 based Sat Nav device (compellingly display mode with either 480x272px or 800x480px screen-resolution) with SD/MMC-card slot or at least the possibility to establish an ‘ActiveSync’ connection with desktop PC / laptop..
2) Library ole32.dll in \Windows (should be there by default)
Installation:
1) first of all copy from downloaded and unpacked zip-archive the folder ceFFM to your Sat Nav’s internal and/or external flashdrive
2) secondly in folder ceFFM edit configuration file ‘ceFFM.ini’ according to your needs
3) finally run executable ‘ceFFM.exe’ therein.
If ‘ceFFM.exe’ is run for the first time, and in configuration file ‘ceFFM.ini’ key AutoStart is set to 1, ceFFM attempts to add itself to device’s registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init key as the last startup application possible, thus it is started automatically when device boots.
Uninstallation:
There is no uninstall routine. You simply delete folder ceFMM on drive it was installed on. In case of a hive-based registry you additionally manually by means of a registry editor remove entries
[HKLM\init]
Launch9999
Depend9999
if these are present, otherwise you simply hard-reset the Sat Nav unit.
Featured Applications:
ceFFM comes with only approximately three dozens freeware CE applications, approved to flawlessly run under CE 5.0 and CE 6.0. Note that all applications that come with ceFFM have an exit-button. Among others, with ceFFM currently bundled are these applications:
FortunaMP3CE – video player

Mio Moov 200
Mio C210
Q: what does “unlock” mean ?
A: it means that you can use it as pocket pc (install and run other programs, like media player or better navigator, like tomtom)
Q: is it dangerous to my device ?
A: if you do it right, no, but it might corrupt files (you can always use your CD/DVD to recover software)
Q: is it legal ?
A: don’t know, don’t care.
it is very simple actually. basically you do not need to do anything.
Mio Moov 200
use the “mio_moov_unlock” (included, look at bottom of post) while your navigator is connected to pc.
it will detect it and show you if it is locked or unlocked.
Mio C210
this is lil bit trickier, because your computer does not detect it (at least it did not for me).
so you need a SD card (or anything it reads).
then simply put goce.exe on SD card (into root folder)
plug SD card into your c210 and do a hard reset (hold down that small button near the power button).
now turn it on, it will show the c210 splash screen and then it asks if you want to run WinCE
click YES
i have not yet found a method to permanently unlock it, it means that you need to use SD card each time you run it.
IGO8 doesn’t work without SD anyways and it only has about 200mb internal memory. so most likely you need SD card anyways.
Mio Transfer Hack:
this is a tool that allows you transfer files between pc and C210 (most likely all C series or other mio devices that will not get detected by pc)
NOTE: Mio moov unlock should work on all mio moov series and goce should work on all C series, but i have only tested on C210 and Moov 200.
